Executing Kitchen and Bath Projects

Executing Kitchen and Bath Projects

We employ subcontractors to execute projects and I thought I would explain why this is important to our clients.   Delivery of a kitchen or bathroom project involves framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, tile, hardwood flooring, finish carpentry, counter top fabrication … well you get the idea.  There are dozens of specialized skills that are involved in producing the finished space.   Some specialty trades are licensed by the state.  In Georgia, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC contractors are licensed by the state (in addition to general contractors) so when undertaking work in these areas, inspectors and the permitting process will require that the work being undertaken is done by a licensed trade professional.   There are many excellent tradespeople, but I have yet to run across anyone who is an expert in all phases of construction.  By using trades people who are experts in their field project costs can actually be reduced.  Tasks are completed more efficiently with a higher level of quality.  And this assures the highest value is returned to our clients.
